The subject matter in the classroom would include, but is not limited to the following:

• The ride and the risk (driving is serious)
• Temporary disabilities (ex. lack of sleep/ high stress)
• Dangers of alcohol and other drugs.
• Peer pressure (making responsible decisions)
• The danger of intersections (details on what to look for)
• Distracted driving (danger of texting)
• Highway driving
• Negotiating traffic circles
• Driving in adverse conditions

Learner centered activities include:

• The Vision Challenge ( testing peripheral, useful & central vision)
• Reaction test ( in relation to distance traveled)
• Interactive scenarios ( video based)
• The " Drunk Goggles"
• Collision scenarios and how to prevent (small group activity)
• Multi-Task challenge (texting & driving)
• Visitation of a police officer (Q&A)
